We are pleased to share a few updates with you on the Urban collection.
Firstly, we can report that production is progressing very well with delivery on schedule for September. We may even be able to start shipping by the end of August - we will keep you posted!
We exhibited at a few of the UK watch events recently and have been genuinely overwhelmed by the incredible reactions to the new collection. Thank you to all those who were able to visit, it’s always great to meet you in person (and really special for us to see you wearing our other collections to the shows!)
We successfully implemented a few changes to the final design before production of the Urban Adventure started. These were considered refinements requested by you such as the inclusion of half-links to a now more crisply executed bracelet which has also been upgraded to a screwed link construction for added convenience.
The overall finishing of the prototypes was excellent and we’ve been able to refine the side components further for an even more sophisticated, and slightly more slender appearance.
One challenge we faced, that was ultimately taken out of our hands, was the availability of Seiko NH movements as they can no longer be sourced at the volumes we require. Having factored in our plans for future collections, we have made the decision to swap over to the excellent Miyota equivalents for this launch (check out this video from about 2 minutes in of Marc from Long Island Watches sharing his thoughts on the matter). The automatic models will now be powered by the 'hacking' 8215 movement while the skeleton will feature the 8N24 complete with smoked dial! The chronograph remains unchanged with the Seiko mechaquartz movement.
The great news is that we’re on track to deliver an outstanding watch and we really can’t wait to get them out to you, thank you so much for your support!
